The Role of Migrant Workers

As is known to all, migrant workers have made great contributions to the prosperity of cities.They are an indispensable part of our workforce.There is no doubt that many construction projects would be lack of manpower without them.In addition, a large number of migrant workers stimulate the consumption of food and daily items.All these are positive aspects of migrant workers in cities.

However, as a popular saying goes,“Everything has two sides”。The same is the case with migrant workers.First,they have trouble getting their children into child care centers and schools because they are unregistered residents in the city.Second,most of the migrant workers swarm into big cities just to make money.Being not well-educated and incompetent,they are a potential threat to the peace and stability of the society.

In my opinion,in the appraisal of migrant workers,it is one-sided to affirm everything or to negate everything.We should appreciate the great contribution made by them,and at the same time pay enough attention to the problems caused by them.(178 words)

众所周知，农民工对城市的繁荣做出了巨大的贡献。他们是劳动大军中不可或缺的一部分。毫无疑问，如果没有他们，许多建设项目都将缺少男性劳动力。此外，大批的农民工也剌激了食品和日常用品的消费。这些都是城市中的农民工积极的作用。

然而，常言道：凡事都有两面。农民工问题亦是如此。首先，他们很难将子女送到托儿所或学校，因为他们没有城市户口。其次，大部分的农民工涌入大都市仅仅是为了挣钱。他们受教育水平低，能力欠缺，对社会的和平与稳定是一个潜在的威胁。

我认为在评价农民工时，全盘肯定或全盘否定都是片面的。我们应感激他们所做出的巨大贡献，与此同时，也应对他们所引起的问题给予足够的重视。
