The favorite course in college

As time flies, I have been a sophomore, formally stepping into the second year in my campus life. And I’m glad to choose English as my major because it can broaden my horizons through reading a large number of books written in English. I have also made many like-minded friends. The most important thing is I took some enlightening classes taught by a few knowledgeable teachers. Among them, my favorite course is Intensive Reading class. There are two reasons to support it. First, the Intensive Reading itself is characteristic with professional features of English. Although each passage in it is very long, it’s content is factually very interesting after reading a few times. I still remember there is a passage telling about a special educational way from so-called “Tiger Mom” who is a Chinese American. This typical Chinese-style education is very reflective and has been existed for a long time. And another reason why I like this course best can be owed to Professor Wang, who is very gentle and have a fine sense of humor when speaking in class. What’s more, his specialized knowledge is beyond doubt. He always cites the stories from Bible, which is a require book as a English major student. All in all, the professional features and the inspiring contents as well as the personal chase of teacher contribute to my preference for Intensive Reading course.
